A modern Asian restaurant housed in a Heritage-listed property in Orange is back on the market.

Sweet Sour Salt has been operating for about 11 years.

According to the restaurant, it has revenue of $21,395 per week, and pays $1,038 weekly rent.

Its expenses are listed as $16,031 per week, with a net profit of $2,187 a week.

The restaurant boasts an "architect designed fit-out, modern kitchen".

Before Sweet Sour Salt, the building housed Michael Manners' highly-regarded Selkirks Restaurant.

A listing for the restaurant's sale states there is potential to renovate to increase seating.

"Some business experience would be highly beneficial however the business is currently managed by very capable staff," it says.

"Full training and 6 months support is offered by the current owner."

Opening times for Sweet Sour Salt are Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30pm - 9:30pm.

The listing states the business has "extremely low turnover through great staff management".

The lease expires in December 2022, though there is a five-year option.

The reason given for the sale is that the owner is looking for new opportunities.

For those who don't want to buy an established restaurant, there is an option to take over the lease and fixed assets and open a new restaurant with a different name. Sweet Sour Salt was last fitted out four years ago.

"The kitchen is managed by staff with only background support provided by the owner. An experienced, high performing manager takes care of the front of house," the listing states.

"The current owner is happy to stay on in a part-time capacity for as long as it takes to ensure a successful transition to new ownership."

Before being listed for sale on January 21, 2022, it was put on the market early in 2021.
