A Night In Nashville

Orange Showground

December 18, 2021

In an old pavilion in O'Town, hundreds had the time of their lives shaking off all that has happened, and letting their hair down for A Night in Nashville.

The neon Americana signs, hay bales and mechanical bull got everyone in the mood.

The evening was organised by Tim Mortimer and his team. Hats off, as they proved that live country music works big time in Orange.

Locals Justin Landers and Clancy Pye revved the audience up with good sets of originals and covers.

The barn floor was filled for a bit of 70s-style boot scootin', then it was time to party with Robbie Mortimer & The Strayhorns.

What a show - it was simply amazing watching so much musical talent working together for the sake of the song, and to give people a good time.

The set included Garth Brooks' The River, Shania Twain's Man! I Feel Like A Woman and John Denver's Take Me Home, Country Roads.

The screaming crowd wanted more, more, more and Robbie & The Strayhorns gave it to them.
