Midnight Oil caravan rolls into Orange ahead of Heifer Station gig
By Peter Holmes
Midnight Oil's setlist on the current Resist tour - which plays Heifer Station Wines on Saturday night - is one that will keep hardcore fans and those who know only the hits sated.
On Friday morning crews were busy setting up the staging and facilities at Heifer Station Wines for the Oil's gig.
This is the Oil's final tour and as of Friday afternoon there were still tickets available in each of the categories ($120-$200).
The setlist on the tour (see examples below via Setlist.fm ), which has changed nightly, has included songs that have become Australian FM radio staples including Dreamworld, US Forces, Short Memory, Read About It, King of the Mountain, Blue Sky Mine, Forgotten Years and Power and the Passion.
Songs such as Dreamworld, King of the Mountain, Kosciuszko, Redneck Wonderland, Forgotten Years and Power and the Passion will test the endurance of an ageing band that doesn't know how to give any less than everything on stage.
The band has also played a bunch of songs from the new Resist album including We Resist, Tarkine, The Barka-Darling River and Nobody's Child.
