A hair salon with a facial and treatment room and a private suite for weddings and special occasions opens Thursday in the Orange CBD.

The Parlour O salon - which has already held a private launch - will also be licensed so clients can sample local wines and produce with their service.

Artwork and jewellery from local artists and designers will be displayed and available for sale.

The salon is at 173 Lords Place, on the ground floor of a two-storey construction that will also house a pilates-yoga studio and law firm.

Tradespeople were adding the final touches to the site this week.

The back of the ground floor will be occupied by pilates and yoga business Movement Evolution Studio.

The first floor has been taken by Cheney Suthers Lawyers.

On Saturday the law firm posted to social media: "We’ve waited more than 3 years to sit in this spot, on this couch. Our move to First Floor, 173 Lords Place, Orange is finally underway!"

A development application for the project, which involved the demolition of the previous building minus the façade, was lodged with Orange City Council in mid-2019.

According to council documents the site is owned by Formdell Pty Ltd. Formdell was incorporated in 1993 and its key principal is Tony Cheney.

UPDATE: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated a cafe would also be on the ground floor of the development.
