Fatal stabbing in Dubbo

An investigation is underway after a fatal stabbing in Dubbo.

Just after 12am (Wednesday August 16, 2023), emergency services were called to a home in Margaret Crescent, Dubbo, after reports of a stabbing.

"On arrival, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District located a man, aged 39, suffering multiple stab wounds to his chest," police stated.

"He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, he died at the scene." A crime scene has been established, which will be forensically examined, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced.
