An Orange property with its own footy posts is on the market. Mum, can we move?

October 7, 2023

A house on more than 2ha, with its own footy goalposts, is on the market.

The property is west of the CBD, at 4 Kirkwood Place, and has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and parking for six cars.

In the Tarnagulla Estate, the single level property was completed in 2015.

The landscaped gardens include fruit-bearing trees and plenty of open lawn space at the back.

There are three living spaces (living and family rooms, and home theatre), and all four bedrooms are described as “generous” and “equipped with ample storage”. Each comes with built-in or walk-in robes.

Two modern bathrooms and a home office with built-in desks and storage are also included.

The Caesarstone island kitchen has waterfall edges, a 900mm gas stove, butler's pantry and dishwasher, and beyond the kitchen is a covered alfresco area.

There is a 12.5m x 8.5m three-bay shed and a double garage.

Other features include ducted heating/cooling, ceiling fans, plantation shutters, laundry/mud room, master ensuite and three-way family bathroom.

And footy posts in the massive “backyard”, complete with a black dot. The joy.

The property has a licensed bore that has been drilled and tapped.

Price on request, on sale through The Professionals Orange.

IN OTHER real estate news, a four-bedroom home at 23 Ophir Street is on the market with a price guide of $1.4 - $1.5 million.

Set on 1,728 square metres, the house comes with two bathrooms and has been in the same family for 97 years, according to the agent.

In a quiet street, and with an elevated view over the CBD, the home is set in the middle of the block, surrounded by lots of space.

Inside, there is a snug with its own fireplace, bang on for winters.

An open plan living area has a family room, kitchen and dining area, plus a sunroom and an attached studio with a powder room that could be extra living, a rumpus for the kids, or converted to a granny flat with its own entrance.

A custom-made Zylem kitchen has an integrated fridge, dishwasher and Miele appliances.

There is also a music room/study. The home is freshly painted and the carpet is reasonably new.

The master suite has a parent's retreat that opens onto a private courtyard.

The backyard is landscaped and has a large pergola. Also, an oversized double carport and a large barn-style shed.

On the market through Peter Fisher Real Estate.

Meanwhile, a six-bedroom home on 24.82ha will go to auction on Friday November 10, 2023, at 11am, with a price guide of $1.35 million.

The Bowan Park property "Mirrabooka Homestead" is in black basalt country and has creek frontage. Bowan Park is west of Orange, between Lidster and Cudal.

The main home has three bedrooms and there is an adjoining cottage with another three bedrooms.

Frontage to Spring Creek, open and enclosed shedding, horse stables and a set of steel cattle yards are part of the package. There are three dams and tanks totalling over 300,000 litres.

A further parcel of adjoining land (about 250 acres) can be also purchased.

Address on request.
